Young
Ghanaian Hip-Hop/Afro-Pop artiste, Linford Kennedy Amankwaa who is
widely known in showbiz as Ko-Jo Cue has advised Medikal, Kwesi
Arthur, Strongman, and others to use their energy for collaborations and
not in the making of diss track.
In a recent tweet, Kojo Cue indicated that he doesn’t see the beef as necessary.
“I’m
always torn when it comes to rap beef in Ghana because, on one hand, I
know what unity and concentration on a singular vision can do for us …
on the other hand, rap is a contact sport and if you get hit, you are
required to hit back … The fans enjoy it though. I’d much rather we did
collaborations instead of diss songs.
We could go hard on songs together
and let the fans hype over who killed who whilst making hit songs and
monetizing the content. Nobody wins when the family feuds, except if the
family monetizes the feud.”
