The obvious exclusion of Kenyans/East Africans on the Soundtrack is depressing. The Lion King movie was based on Kenya’.

Yesterday, Beyonce unveiled the tracklist of her new album, The Lion King: The Gift, which is the musical accompaniment to the new Walt Disney movie.
The album features some top African artiste including Ghana’s Shatta Wale and Guiltybeatz, Nigeria’s popstars Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, Mr. Eazi, Tekno, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage as well as South Africas’s Busiswa and Moonchild Sanelly.
While Shatta Wale and the other featured African artiste are celebrating the achievement, Kenyan singer, Victoria Kimani feels disappointed that no Kenyan artiste made the album list.
According to her,  ‘as much as we celebrate with our fellow Africans. The obvious exclusion of Kenyans/East Africans on this Soundtrack is depressing. The movie was based on Kenya’.  she tweeted.
