‘There’s No Better Female Artist In Ghana Since Ebony Died’

The late Ebony really raised the bar in the entertainment industry despite the relatively short stint she had following her untimely death on the Sunyani- Kumasi road in 2018. Indeed Wendy Shay has really done well for herself since she stepped in to fill the void left by the queen but as to whether she has been able to replicate the same standard is a different subject on its own.
On that note, fast rising singer Alice Acheampong aka Yaa Sika has revealed that the toughest competition any female artist in Ghana ever faced was the late Ebony Reigns and that she’s no more, there that spark is gone.
In an interview with Angel TV, Yaa Sika in a bid to make herself conspicuous touted herself as the best vocalist in the country. She did not end it there as she ruffled the feathers of controversy even more by saying she finds it difficult to understand why the media sometimes refer to Wendy Shay as the biggest female artist at the moment.
Sika said it’s pathetic when finds out that artists throw their weight about simply because of the hype they get from the media.
Are we going to see the latest beef in the industry?
